Description

Join a team delivering a large transformation program for the insurance industry. You will develop Java backend applications and microservices, design REST APIs and integrations, and work with event-driven systems using Apache Kafka. You will also support code quality through automated tests and code reviews, applying DDD and using AI tools to assist development.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications and services in Java
• Build and evolve microservices-based systems
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrations
• Participate in solution architecture design
• Develop automated tests and ensure code quality
• Perform code reviews
• Work with event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Analyze and resolve technical and performance issues
• Use AI tools supporting software development
• Collaborate with the Scrum team

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial Java experience
• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA
• Very good knowledge of Apache Kafka
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience designing and developing microservices
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Knowledge of Angular and experience working with frontend applications
• Ability to use AI tools supporting software development
• Availability for hybrid work: at least 1 day per week in the Warsaw office
