Description

Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models and backend data workflows to support analytics and operational reporting. Build ETL pipelines integrating SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other data sources, ensuring data quality and high-performance processing at scale. Deliver solutions in an Agile (SAFe) environment while documenting best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models: Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from SAP and non-SAP systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and data architectures
• Develop end-to-end data workflows; monitor and troubleshoot to identify and resolve data discrepancies
• Implement custom analytics, KPI tracking, and actionable insights powered by SAP HANA backend solutions
• Optimize data processing performance for large datasets using SAP HANA in-memory database capabilities
• Work with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
• Participate in Agile (SAFe) sprints, planning, and retrospectives to deliver incremental value
• Document and maintain technical best practices and knowledge sharing for key SAP HANA solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development (or equivalent roles in the SAP space)
• Hands-on expertise in SAP HANA native modeling: Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, SQLScript
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines in SAP HANA environments
• Familiarity integrating SAP systems such as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA (or other legacy systems)
• Expertise in data performance optimization, database tuning, and scalability
• Agile proficiency; experience with Jira and Confluence
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• English proficiency (B2+ in written and spoken form)

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering domains (e.g., quality assurance, supply chain analytics)
• Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, or similar modern SAP integration tools
