Description

You will administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ environments for the EQ DWH project, focusing on high availability, security, stability, and proactive monitoring. You will automate database administration processes with PowerShell and handle production incidents by diagnosing root causes and resolving issues. You will also support the Windows Server infrastructure related to the database environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SQL Server 2016+ database environments

• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues

• Ensure high availability, security, and stability of production systems

• Automate administrative processes with PowerShell

• Administer and support Windows Server environments connected to the database infrastructure

• Handle incidents and perform root-cause analysis for production problems

• Collaborate with technical teams on deployments, changes, and ongoing maintenance

• Participate in knowledge transfer and documentation

• Provide support on-call per schedule and be available for occasional weekend work

• Support development and optimization of the EQ DWH data warehouse environment

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in database administration

• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+

• Practical experience with Windows Server administration

• Ability to create and develop PowerShell automation scripts

• Ability to effectively diagnose and resolve database performance, availability, and stability issues

• Ability to work operationally and take ownership of production system maintenance

• Independent, analytical, and problem-solving attitude

• Willingness to join support on-call rotations and occasional weekend work

• Willingness to collaborate with teams, contribute to knowledge transfer, and document solutions
