Description

Join a financial technology team as a Senior C++ Developer to build and maintain high-performance C++ applications for trading platforms, order management systems, and order lifecycle processing.

You will develop scalable, highly available distributed applications and work on multi-threaded, socket-based networking components.

You’ll also provide Level 3 production support and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications in a financial technology environment

• Develop trading platform and OMS components for order lifecycle processing

• Enhance scalable, highly available, distributed applications

• Build multi-threaded systems using socket programming and complex data structures

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and other stakeholders

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide Level 3 application support

• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement

• Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and availability requirements are met

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on C++ development experience

• Strong knowledge of multi-threading/concurrency

• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Proficiency with STL, templates, and type casting

• Strong understanding of pointers and memory management

• Socket programming and network communication experience

• Strong programming experience in Linux/Unix environments

• Experience in financial services or capital markets (essential)

• Understanding of financial trading systems, preferably equity trading

• Familiarity with OMS, order processing, and order lifecycle/state handling

• Experience developing and supporting transaction-oriented applications

• Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues in production

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for IT and business stakeholders
