Description

You will build robust Java-based applications and solutions for financial services clients, including REST APIs and reactive, responsive systems. You will also design and maintain unit tests, incorporate NoSQL (ideally MongoDB), and help shape scalable architecture decisions with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build Java-based applications for financial services clients

• Create REST APIs to support business requirements

• Apply reactive programming principles to build responsive systems

• Design and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability

• Incorporate NoSQL databases into application architecture

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software

• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable systems

Requirements

• 8+ years of Java software development experience, focused on Java 8 & 9

• Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB

• Expertise in REST API implementation, ideally JAX-RS

• Experience with reactive programming, ideally RxJava

• Background in implementing unit tests

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Fintech or established financial institution experience

• Microservices architecture experience

• Experience scaling systems to large data volumes

• Agile Scrum experience

• Experience working in globally distributed teams
