Description

Lead the technical design, architectural vision, and engineering delivery of a next-generation Risk Management Platform. Define technical standards and best practices across CI/CD, testing, and the full software lifecycle, while integrating complex enterprise platforms and mentoring globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Architectural leadership & system design

• Strategic system architecture for scalable, resilient, high-throughput next-generation risk solutions.
• Define and evolve engineering methodologies, coding standards, testing automation, and CI/CD best practices.
• Lead deep technical integration of complex enterprise platforms to accelerate product deployments and enhance operations.
• Drive transformation using expertise across end-to-end data pipelines, microservices, and system flows.

Technical delivery & execution

• Plan and execute technical milestones for large multi-stream, cross-functional programs.
• Translate functional specifications into robust technical architectures in collaboration with business and risk/operations stakeholders.
• Ensure code excellence across performance profiling, fault tolerance, and security for distributed services.

Leadership, mentorship & collaboration

• Coach and guide senior developers/engineers/analysts; manage workloads and delivery milestones.
• Align architectural roadmaps with senior technology/business leaders and external partners.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive culture across teams in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Governance, risk & controls

• Proactively assess and mitigate technical, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Ensure strict adherence to enterprise governance, data privacy, regulatory requirements, and security controls; escalate and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Extensive experience in software engineering and system architecture with mission-critical enterprise delivery.
• Advanced expertise in backend development with modern languages/frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++).
• Experience with distributed computing, concurrent systems, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka).
• Proven experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience with API gateways and distributed caching technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational and distributed databases, high-volume data processing pipelines, and analytical engines.
• Experience defining and implementing engineering standards, testing automation, and CI/CD best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership/mentorship and cross-functional delivery leadership.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
