Description

You will own and scale full stack solutions for a modern retail platform. The role covers backend services and APIs (Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot), frontend applications (Vue.js), and distributed event-driven systems (Kafka) running on AWS. You will partner with DevOps for CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability, and lead improvements driven by production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, including architecture decisions and trade-off evaluation.

• Build and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js, ensuring performance and usability.

• Design and evolve event-driven systems using Kafka and distributed architectures.

• Work with AWS cloud services and support deployments in containerized environments.

• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements.

• Participate in technical design discussions, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• 5+ years of full stack development experience delivering production systems.

• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Vue.js.

• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Ability to contribute to architecture discussions and work across teams.

• Strong communication in English and Polish; readiness for hybrid work in Katowice.
