Description

You will join a team developing and modernizing a platform supporting investment-funds processes. The work is a gradual migration from a legacy system to a new Java/Spring Boot solution, starting with a PoC (new backend plus an adapter for the legacy system) and then incrementally moving business logic into the new architecture. New functionality is built and existing components are modernized, with verification of correctness, security, scalability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop the backend in Java and Spring Boot and the frontend in Angular 21, supporting migration and modernization of existing functionality.

• Create adapters and integrate the new solution with the existing legacy system.

• Gradually port business logic to the new architecture.

• Troubleshoot concurrency problems involving parallel requests and synchronization of session/connection access to ensure correct execution.

• Resolve issues related to application operation in distributed, multi-instance environments running on OpenShift.

• Support scalability and correct traffic routing between instances.

• Perform performance tuning: profiling, load testing, optimizing communication with the legacy backend, and tuning JVM/application performance.

• Create unit tests and component tests.

• Create and improve Jenkins pipelines and participate in OpenShift deployments.

• Analyze and resolve environment issues independently.

• Collaborate with QA, frontend developers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial experience building Java backend applications

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot

• Experience with Angular

• Experience integrating systems and working with legacy systems

• Experience analyzing and resolving concurrency-related issues

• Experience with performance optimization and performance troubleshooting

• Database experience, especially Oracle and PL/SQL

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

• Practical CI/CD experience and running applications in containerized environments

• English proficiency at least B2

• Polish proficiency at least B2
