Description

You will implement and support an SAP solution for detailed tracking and monitoring of IDoc processing in a global SAP landscape. The work includes analyzing the complete IDoc status lifecycle, building ABAP logic for status and error classification, and delivering SAP-to-external logging/event integration. You will also support unit/integration testing and provide technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the full IDoc processing lifecycle, including status history, reprocessing, and final statuses

• Create acceptance/hand-over protocols for delivered service stages and participate in coordination meetings

• Develop logic that distinguishes temporary errors, permanent errors, and successfully processed IDocs

• Implement ABAP logic to retrieve IDoc processing data and status changes

• Deliver SAP integration with LogScale via REST/HTTP using JSON payloads and authentication

• Run unit tests and support integration testing and go-live

• Produce technical documentation: technical design, configuration, and operational notes

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on ABAP programming experience, including OO ABAP

• Very good knowledge of IDoc and ALE processing (inbound/outbound), including statuses, monitoring, reprocessing, and non-standard processing logic

• Experience analyzing the full IDoc lifecycle, including separating temporary vs. permanent errors and distinguishing from successful processing

• Experience integrating SAP with Azure Event Hubs, OpenTelemetry Collector, or similar event/log collection platforms

• Experience with SAP Focused Run, especially monitoring IDocs and interfaces and troubleshooting issues

• Experience building REST/HTTP integrations from ABAP (HTTP client, JSON, authentication, error handling)

• Experience delivering services in international project environments

• Experience with enhancements (BAdI, user exits, enhancement points)

• Excellent English (at least B2+/C1)
