Description

You will lead and further develop a team of embedded software developers building software for railway vehicles, from control and information systems to door control and braking/anti-slip electronic devices. You will set priorities and plan capacity, own delivery timelines, and make decisions about software architecture and technical solutions. You will also improve code quality, testing, and documentation processes, and coordinate end-to-end development through verification and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SW development team
• Set priorities, plan capacity, and ensure deadlines
• Decide on software architecture and technical solutions
• Improve processes for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Coordinate collaboration with HW development, project teams, and testing/verification
• Oversee software development from design to verification and deployment into operation
• Identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness and the development process

Requirements

• Practical experience with embedded software development
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming
• Experience leading a team or technically leading software development projects
• Understanding of the link between software and hardware
• Ability to make technical decisions and set priorities
• Organizational skills and consistency to complete tasks
• Ability to communicate with developers and colleagues from other technical departments
