Description

You will be the main developer for the React part of a new EU digital identity platform. The work includes designing and building key UI features in React, implementing new functionality end-to-end (UI through API integration), and collaborating with backend teams building services in Java / Spring Boot and a microservices architecture. After completing the React portion, you can expand toward full-stack development in Java/React or continue as a React developer on other projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead React development with a strong impact on technical direction and further evolution

• Design and implement key user interface components in React

• Propose and implement new functionality from UI through API connections

• Collaborate on integrating the frontend with backend services built in Java / Spring Boot and microservices

• Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality, sustainability, and reliability

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, backend/mobile developers, and QA specialists to build a secure and scalable system

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of React and practical experience developing modern web applications

• Experience integrating REST APIs

• Experience containerizing applications

• Advantage: knowledge of the Java / Spring Boot ecosystem and overlap into backend development

• Advantage: experience with microservices architecture

• Advantage: experience in security, authentication, digital identity, or high-reliability systems with strong data protection needs

• Can start almost immediately

• In-office presence in Prague (Florenc) 2–3 times per week

• Technical university degree (information technology)

• Excellent Czech/Slovak; English is not a problem
