Description

You will shape customer journeys across Microsoft.com by translating complex product, audience, and business requirements into intuitive web experiences. The role includes leading information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and validation across multi-page programs. You will also design within and extend the Microsoft Design System by contributing components, patterns, tokens, and usage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate a clear UX vision across assigned web customer journeys

• Lead information architecture, navigation, wayfinding, and content hierarchy

• Translate product, licensing, audience, and business requirements into customer experiences

• Design and validate end-to-end journeys from awareness through enrollment or purchase

• Partner across product marketing, content, analytics, engineering, web production, and agencies to align priorities and delivery

• Use research and post-launch data to evaluate comprehension, wayfinding, and performance, then iterate

• Design system contribution: design, extend, and contribute reusable components and patterns (including token application and library architecture)

• Author and maintain usage guidance and documentation for adoption

• Identify recurring local needs that indicate design-system gaps and work to resolve them

• Collaborate with engineering to keep implementations and design intent in sync

• Maintain accessibility and responsive behavior as first-class requirements

• Support adoption across partner teams and resolve conflicts between local needs and system standards

• Raise the quality bar through visual, interaction, and systems design critique

• Manage competing priorities across delivery commitments and system work
