Description

Lead a distributed engineering pod while staying directly involved as an individual contributor on complex Azure engineering work. Shape and evolve an observability-focused Azure service, improve monitoring/diagnostics/operational visibility, and strengthen production reliability through on-call and incident investigation. Work with strategic customers and internal engineering teams to design and deliver production-grade solutions that scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering impact with strategic Azure customers, designing and optimizing production-grade applications on Azure

• Build and continuously improve an observability-focused platform capability for cloud workloads

• Own production reliability and operations through on-call participation, incident investigation, and engineering improvements

• Create reusable engineering assets (tools, guidance, reference implementations) to enable repeatable customer success

• Influence Azure platform engineering by collaborating with other teams using real-world customer experience

• Strengthen technical capability across the organization by developing supporting technical teams

• Provide technical direction, coaching, and people leadership while balancing hands-on engineering contributions

• Set priorities and lead cross-team initiatives to deliver customer impact and long-term technical value

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python) OR equivalent experience

• Must be able to pass required security screening, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check
