Description

Join an established and expanding Hospice & Palliative Medicine team in Memphis, TN. This employed opportunity supports full-scope palliative medicine practice across inpatient consultation, home-based care, hospice, outpatient palliative medicine, and education. Weekend hospice call is currently 1:4, with potential to change as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative medicine consults supporting two area hospitals
• Participate in a growing Home-Based Palliative Care Program
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient hospice services, including opportunities to serve as hospice medical director or associate medical director
• Expand outpatient palliative medicine services within specialty programs (e.g., heart transplant, advanced heart failure, stem cell transplant, ALS, and advanced pulmonary hypertension)
• Teach palliative medicine fellows annually and support education for residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners
• Provide weekend hospice call coverage (currently 1:4)

Requirements

• BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• MD or DO
• J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship eligibility
