Description

You will help build and evolve the cloud-native infrastructure layer for Azure Monitor and other observability services, owning complex Kubernetes-based platform systems end to end. The role emphasizes driving architecture across teams, improving reliability and security at scale, and safely enabling AI-assisted/AI-agentic infrastructure operations. You will ship features across the full engineering lifecycle, including deployment and live-site support.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and code reviews across feature areas

• Participate in the full engineering lifecycle: research/discovery, iteration, prototyping, development, deployment, and live-site support

• Collaborate across partner teams and deploy across Azure regions

• Drive well-scoped design and implementation of cloud-native infrastructure components

• Improve Kubernetes operational patterns (service-to-service communication, workload placement, traffic management, resiliency)

• Align dependencies and clarify ownership with adjacent infrastructure, observability, and platform teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent experience)

• Ability to pass required security screenings, including the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
