Description

Lead and scale the QA function by organizing an existing team of QA specialists into an independent QA department with full ownership of software quality. Set up QA testing strategy and standards across the organization (from requirements through production), partner closely with delivery and development teams, and deliver clear quality metrics to stakeholders. Serve as the primary “face of quality” for clients by reporting progress, explaining risks, and managing business expectations.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a QA team: integrate current QA specialists, support their growth, mentor, and recruit new talent

• Own software quality: provide go/no-go decisions and stop releases when quality standards are not met

• Create QA processes: design and implement testing strategy and QA standards organization-wide

• Collaborate with Head of Delivery and development teams to make quality a priority at every stage

• Reporting: provide clear quality metrics to management and stakeholders

• Client communication: report QA status, explain risks, and align expectations with business stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial experience as a QA Tester

• Practical use of AI-based tools to optimize daily testing work and processes

• Experience with manual testing for web and mobile applications

• API testing using tools such as Postman or Insomnia

• Experience with test management tools such as Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail

• Understanding of CI/CD and knowledge of Git

• Test automation framework knowledge (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium)

• English language proficiency

• Strong independent work, organization, creativity, and communication skills
