Description

You will work on a financial project modernizing legacy applications using agentic AI code migration and automation. The role focuses on building AI-powered agent workflows and tooling for automated code analysis, migration, and refactoring, integrated into CI/CD and deployment platforms. You will collaborate with application teams and continuously test, evaluate, and improve AI-generated migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve AI-powered agent workflows for legacy code modernization

  • Build and maintain tooling for automated code analysis, migration, and refactoring

  • Develop solutions in Python using clean, maintainable software engineering practices

  • Integrate AI-driven workflows with CI/CD and deployment platforms (Tekton, ArgoCD) and automation (Ansible)

  • Work with LLMs and agentic coding tools, including prompt and tool-use workflows

  • Analyse legacy codebases and transform them into modern, platform-approved technology stacks

  • Collaborate with application teams to make migration cases reliable and repeatable

  • Experiment with different LLM providers/models in a vendor-agnostic setup

  • Contribute to testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI-generated migrations

  • Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python

  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: Git, code review, testing, and clean code

  • Practical CI/CD and containerization knowledge: Docker and Kubernetes

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development

  • Understanding of agentic AI concepts: agents, tool use, agent workflows

  • Ability to read and understand legacy code in different languages, including Java

  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Tekton or ArgoCD

  • Knowledge of Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code tools

  • Familiarity with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code (or similar)

  • Knowledge of LLM evaluation, context engineering, or Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with a structured approach to experimentation

  • Good English communication and ability to collaborate in a team
