Description

Join a newly formed internal team to develop the plugin platform that is a core part of a desktop application. The app is part of a hardware product, so many solutions and optimizations happen at the intersection of software and hardware. You’ll build and extend the plugin system for the desktop app across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a plugin platform for a desktop application

• Build features and optimizations at the software–hardware boundary

• Support a system where the community can create plugins (e.g., audio control, AI agent action approval)

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

• Use AI tools in everyday work; understand their strengths and limitations

• Ability to assess what generated code is production-ready
