API Integration Tester

• Role: Medior API / Integration Tester (corporate/internet banking)

Description

You will test a Premium API for corporate clients, internet banking, and related banking applications, focusing on backend behavior and how systems connect. The role includes independent preparation of test cases and their automation, working with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders in a 2-person testing team.

Responsibilities

• Perform API-level integration testing and verify dependencies between banking applications

• Prepare test strategy, test analysis, scenarios, and test data

• Define test-environment requirements and input/output conditions

• Create and review regression and automated tests

• Decide which scenarios are suitable for automation

• Execute smoke, system integration, and regression tests

• Validate data using SQL and analyze logs

• Evaluate results, document defects in Jira, and hand outputs to the project team

Requirements

• Practical experience with API-level integration testing

• Experience preparing test analysis, test scenarios, and test data

• Experience creating and maintaining automated tests

• Proficiency with tools for testing and diagnostics/data work: Postman, SQL, Jira, Kibana

• Experience with automation tools/technologies: Cypress, Playwright, TypeScript

• Knowledge of Enterprise Architect (EA)

• Experience from a banking environment

• Independence, analytical thinking, and the ability to understand the domain technically and from a business perspective

• Very good Czech and ability to work with English technical documentation

Benefits

• Project start: November 2026

• Expected duration: 15 months, with a likelihood of extension

• Location/work mode: Prague; initially 4 days onsite / 1 day remote, then 1 day onsite / 4 days remote per week

• Contract form: cooperation on IČO, full-time allocation

• Compensation: 5,000–6,000 CZK depending on experience/skills
