Description

You lead the day-to-day work and mentor a team building and maintaining internal tools used by an aviation data organization. The role emphasizes technical judgment across many stacks rather than deep expertise in a single technology, with active involvement in agentic AI planning and development quality. You provide context for independent decisions and verify outcomes to keep the quality bar high as pace increases.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering work across three pods and shape how the team plans and executes

• Mentor engineers and drive day-to-day execution

• Make the right technical calls during active decisions and explain trade-offs

• Support agentic/AI development approaches and define where agents should be trusted

• Maintain engineering quality practices, including code reviews

Requirements

• Ability to lead and mentor engineers (10–12 engineers across multiple pods)

• Strong technical judgment that applies across diverse technology stacks

• Experience working with genuinely complicated data systems

• Familiarity with agentic development and using AI tools in practice

• Ability to provide context for autonomous decisions and review outcomes

• Comfort with hybrid work in Gdansk and occasional evening calls with the US
