Description

You will design and build an internal algorithmic trading system that executes strategies on stocks, options, and futures via Interactive Brokers. The system must run reliably unattended, transforming real-time trading and market data into clear visual signals for customers, while extending into prediction markets and 24-hour digital asset trading. You will take end-to-end ownership (architecture, deployment, and incident response) in a small fully remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the internal algorithmic trading system executing strategies via Interactive Brokers
• Ensure the trading system runs reliably unattended with strong error handling, monitoring, and recovery
• Extend the system into prediction markets and digital asset trading on 24-hour markets
• Convert raw trading and market data into actionable visual customer signals
• Build internal automations for business operations (e.g., adjusting sales commissions after refunds/chargebacks)
• Develop Discord community management bots and automations that revoke access for non-paying customers on time
• Work directly with the company owner on architecture, technology choices, and priorities
• Take end-to-end ownership from architecture and deployment through incident response
• Collaborate with a small non-engineering team to automate sales and community workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior-level professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with trading or market data (stocks, options, futures, crypto, or prediction markets)
• Strong experience with real-time data processing
• Production system experience in Python or Rust
• Track record building reliable unattended systems with robust error handling, monitoring, and failure recovery
• Ability to make architectural and technology decisions independently
• Demonstrated ownership and self-direction in a small fully remote team
• Readiness to take responsibility for urgent production issues
• Excellent English communication skills
