Description

You’ll train to build and maintain technical systems used for safety and rail operations, helping ensure trains run reliably and passengers arrive safely. The role combines hands-on technical work with outdoor tasks on station grounds, in track areas, and in control centers. You’ll work with network technology ranging from copper to fiber optics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain security, IT/communications, and automation systems
• Work with intrusion and fire detection/alarm systems
• Install and support video and public-address (PA) systems, displays, and ticket machines
• Support heated-bearing (hot-runner) detection systems and various radio technologies
• Perform small assembly/mounting tasks
• Be outdoors in all weather conditions (e.g., station sites, track areas, and signal/control rooms)
• Accompany service technicians on regional assignments and build practical experience

Requirements

• Successfully completed school (soon) with a German-recognized qualification
• German skills at least B2
• Strong manual dexterity
• Willingness to work independently and outdoors
• Teamwork and reliability
• Interest in varied, hands-on work
• Driver’s license class B (manual transmission) to be obtained successfully soon
