Description

Lead a team of engineers building foundational operating system security features for Windows and Azure customers. You will guide architecture, implementation, validation, and delivery for capabilities such as code integrity, Credential Guard, secure biometrics, secure hotpatching, and secure tracing and diagnostics. The role emphasizes collaboration across hardware, software, Windows, Azure, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to determine user, security, and platform requirements within and across teams

• Lead the team in identifying dependencies and producing architecture and design documents

• Oversee development, optimization, debugging, refactoring, and reuse of low-level code to improve security, performance, reliability, and maintainability

• Diagnose complex product issues and develop corrective actions for security-critical components throughout their lifecycle

• Drive project plans, release plans, and work items across Windows, Azure, and the broader security ecosystem

• Lead product development and scaling to customer and platform requirements while maintaining accountability for quality, security, and performance

• Model, coach, and care for team members by defining clear outcomes and enabling growth across organizational boundaries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent experience)

• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $142,800–$274,800 per year

• Base pay range (San Francisco Bay Area / NYC metro): USD $188,000–$304,200 per year

• Eligibility for benefits and other compensation, subject to role
