Description

Drive high-impact engineering projects by acquiring data, building usable data sets for modeling, and updating best practices for data collection, preparation, and integrity. Evaluate and improve team models, develop operational models that run at scale, and invent new evaluation methods. Write extensible code, apply customer-focused strategy, and maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Acquire project data and develop usable data sets for modeling
• Update internal best practices for data collection and preparation; contribute to data integrity discussions
• Evaluate team models, recommend improvements, and drive model best practices
• Develop operational models that run at scale
• Review data analysis and modeling techniques; identify and invent evaluation methods
• Research and maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and technologies; contribute to thought leadership
• Write extensible code spanning multiple features; use proper debugging techniques
• Define business/customer/solution strategy goals and partner to identify new opportunities
• Apply customer-oriented focus to understand needs and set realistic expectations

Requirements

• Doctorate in a relevant field plus 1+ years of data-science experience, or Master’s plus 3+ years, or Bachelor’s plus 5+ years, or equivalent experience
• Experience managing structured and unstructured data
• Experience applying statistical techniques and reporting results
• Ability to meet security screening requirements
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness/eligibility to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph); must maintain clearance
• Successful clearance verification prior to offer
• Pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
• U.S. citizenship verification required

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $119,800–$234,700 per year
• Bay Area/NYC base pay range: USD $160,200–$261,000 per year
• Additional benefits and other compensation may be available
