Senior Full Stack Engineer for a modern retail platform in a cloud-native, event-driven environment (hybrid work in Katowice).

Description

Own end-to-end full stack solutions and contribute to architecture decisions across backend and frontend systems. You’ll build backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, develop user-facing applications with Vue.js, and design event-driven distributed architectures using Kafka on AWS. You will also collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability, and drive improvements after production incidents through root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, including architectural trade-off decisions.
• Build and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js, ensuring performance and usability.
• Design and evolve event-driven systems using Kafka and distributed architectures.
• Work with AWS cloud services and support deployments in containerized environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
• Participate in technical design discussions, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Completed university degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of full stack development experience delivering production systems.
• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Vue.js.
• Good understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Ability to contribute to architecture discussions and work across teams.
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish; readiness for hybrid work in Katowice.
