Description

Build and own backend systems for a new e-commerce platform end-to-end: business discovery, API and database development, AWS deployment, and production monitoring. You’ll shape the architecture by deciding when a modular monolith is enough and when to introduce separate services and queues. Frontend (React/Next.js) isn’t off-limits when a feature needs to be completed, with quality enforced through tests, observability, and practical AI-assisted work.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend for e-commerce and related systems: orders, diet management, production planning, logistics, and payments

• Deliver features end-to-end: align with business, implement APIs and database layers, deploy to AWS, and observe behavior in production

• Own architectural decisions (modular monolith vs microservices; when to use queues)

• Work spec-first and use AI tools daily while keeping a strong testing discipline

• Raise the team’s technical level via knowledge sharing, learning, and code reviews

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial experience

• Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience in revenue-critical systems

• PostgreSQL knowledge: transactions, isolation levels, and indexing

• Queue experience (RabbitMQ or similar) and AWS experience, including idempotency, retries, and observability

• Sound architectural judgment: monolith, modularization, microservices

• Ownership mindset and ability to drive topics to completion while engaging with business stakeholders

• Communicative Polish to collaborate closely with production, logistics, and sales
