Description

Join as an experienced Senior Android Developer on a part-time basis. This role combines development of an Android mobile application for medical-device companion functionality with the design, evolution, and maintenance of Android SDK components consumed by multiple applications.

You will modernize the app and technology stack, including migrating to Jetpack Compose and transitioning from RxJava to Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, while ensuring smooth adoption and backward compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Android applications and reusable SDK modules

• Develop BLE integrations and device connectivity solutions

• Build and maintain networking layers using Retrofit and OkHttp

• Maintain and evolve Dependency Injection architecture based on Koin

• Contribute to UI development using Android Views and Jetpack Compose

• Lead modernization of Android application architecture and technology stack

• Plan and execute migration initiatives from Android Views to Jetpack Compose

• Drive transition from RxJava to Kotlin Coroutines and Flow

• Ensure backward compatibility during adoption of new technologies across the app and SDK ecosystem

• Maintain technical documentation, testing strategy, release processes, and code quality standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android development

• English fluency; ability to work effectively with technical documentation

• High level of ownership and independence

• Experience in Android SDK design and implementation

• Backward compatibility management

• IoT device integration over BLE

• Software architecture experience
