.NET/C# Developer (Transport Management System)

Description

You will develop and extend a Transport Management System (TMS) built on .NET 10, focusing on the WPF desktop client for dispatch and the services and interfaces behind it. The work includes new modules and features, backend APIs, database development with Entity Framework Core on SQL Server, and integration with external systems (e.g., PTV xServer, Google Maps, Microsoft 365/SharePoint). You will also help connect AI applications to the TMS and automate import/export and notifications.

Responsibilities

• Further development of the TMS: WPF/WinForms client, ASP.NET Core web APIs, and the EF Core data layer on SQL Server
• Design new modules and features and make architecture decisions for the next .NET 10 expansion
• Build interfaces for AI applications to communicate with the TMS
• Integrate external systems such as PTV xServer, Google Maps, Microsoft 365/SharePoint, and customer order imports
• Automate background processes with Quartz.NET jobs and Worker Services for imports, exports, and notifications
• Use AI tools daily (code generation, testing, documentation) and shape their use within the team
• Perform code reviews and pair programming with the team

Requirements

• Multi-year experience with C# and .NET (Framework and/or .NET 5+)
• Solid experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases (ideally SQL Server)
• Experience with WPF/WinForms or ASP.NET Core (ideally both)
• Degree, vocational training, or comparable practical experience
• Very good German and good English for technical documentation
• German C2
• Willingness to commute or plan a move to 74321 Bietigheim-Bissingen before starting
