Description

You will join the cloud platform team responsible for operating and evolving the AWS platform end to end, including Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD tooling, monitoring, security, and cost governance. You will work with application teams to provide templates and guardrails so they can deploy and run workloads autonomously. The role also includes supporting the company’s GCP footprint (Firebase and BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve AWS EKS (Kubernetes) clusters, including upgrades, plugins, and configuration

• Build and maintain Terraform modules and templates used for self-service by development teams (e.g., databases, queues, caches, permissions)

• Support and improve GitLab CI, Argo CD, and Istio-based deployment and traffic management

• Operate core platform services: networking, foundation services, IAM, and centralized backup

• Contribute to centralized monitoring and logging

• Work on security and compliance using AWS Security Hub and SCPs; partner on findings with development teams

• Consult development teams on AWS service choices and application design; support adoption of Terraform and Argo CD

• Support GCP footprint, particularly Firebase and BigQuery, alongside the core AWS platform

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience operating cloud infrastructure in production, ideally on AWS

• Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), Argo CD, Istio, and infrastructure as code (Terraform or comparable)

• Familiarity with GitOps-style deployment tooling and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or similar)

• Working knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS/DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch

• Practical knowledge of GCP, specifically Firebase and BigQuery

• Security- and cost-conscious mindset with ability to explain trade-offs clearly

• Good written and spoken English; German or Polish is a plus
