Description

You’ll help shape residential energy product direction by partnering with engineering to define product requirements for new hardware and software features. The internship focuses on market and customer insight, techno-economic analysis, and coordinating cross-functional work to guide product/experience trade-off decisions and launch planning. You’ll also provide executive visibility into key risks, decisions, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Define product requirements for new hardware products and software features; identify functionality gaps; prioritize high-value use cases; recommend product/experience trade-offs

• Lead market intelligence, customer feedback, and techno-economic analysis to drive product decisions

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to define the ideal user experience across product lines

• Outline go-to-market strategy for successful launch of hardware products or software features

• Engage leadership on key timeline risks, product trade-offs, issues, and decisions

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 12 weeks; full-time (40 hours/week); on-site availability

• Ability to work 40 hours/week on-site (for international students, confirm CPT/work authorization with your school)

• Strong knowledge of global energy storage markets and experience working with engineering, sales, and business development teams

• Direct experience with solar, energy storage, home charging, electrical concepts, and home construction

• Experience and comfort working with large datasets

• Ability to present complex problems and solutions clearly to an executive audience

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
