VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) acute-care hospital and healthcare provider dedicated to serving the south-central Virginia region and parts of northern North Carolina. Affiliated with VCU Health, CMH opened in 2017 and is known for delivering quality, state-of-the-art care in a convenient, patient-friendly setting, reflected in strong patient satisfaction. The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient services—including acute and long-term care—and outpatient programs such as home health and hospice. CMH is a technologically advanced, 166,700-square-foot facility featuring private rooms (including intensive-coronary care), labor and delivery capabilities, multiple operating room suites, a dedicated cesarean suite, and a 16-bay emergency department, along with diagnostic services such as MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, and comprehensive cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary testing, including a permanent cardiac catheterization lab. It has grown to become one of the area’s largest employers, with approximately 800 employees, 200+ volunteers, and 85 physicians across 30 medical specialties.
