Description

You will build and integrate an underwriting platform “Underwriter OS” with a Next.js/React frontend and a FastAPI/Python backend. The role includes integrating AI agents orchestrated via LangGraph/LangChain, connecting to insurance administration systems and external tools, extracting data from broker documents, and deploying to Azure with containers and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build Underwriter OS (frontend Next.js/React, backend FastAPI/Python)
• Integrate AI agents into the application using an orchestrator (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph)
• Connect with policy administration systems, rating engines, DMS, CRM, broker portal, and Outlook
• Build and orchestrate AI agents by translating underwriting guidelines into agent instructions
• Implement a data-extraction process from broker documents
• Deploy and run on Azure using containers and CI/CD

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Science/AI, including at least 1 year of production deployments
• Strong knowledge of React/Next.js and Python/FastAPI
• Strong knowledge of Azure Blob Storage, Document Intelligence, and AI Foundry
• Strong knowledge of LangGraph (or similar orchestration tools), prompt engineering, and context engineering
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Proficient in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL
• Practical MLOps experience (Azure ML, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Experience with Azure cloud platform
• Understanding of AI governance requirements and the AI Act
