Description

You will develop and evolve the Android version of the WP Mail app, delivering new client features from analysis through implementation.

Work on UI improvements aligned with the design system, enhance the data layer and local storage for large message datasets (including synchronization and offline mode), and contribute to a new mobile product built from scratch.

You will also support performance and quality using metrics, crash-free goals, and testing, and propose technical directions for the application.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features for the Android mail client
• Extend the app UI according to the design system (with UX/UI collaboration)
• Develop the data layer and local storage, including syncing and offline mode
• Contribute to a new product built from zero
• Improve performance and quality (metrics, crash-free rate, tests)
• Propose technical directions for product development

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience developing Android applications
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Understanding of clean code and clean architecture
• Experience with Git
• Experience integrating with APIs
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools
• Independence in running tasks from analysis to implementation and ability to discuss technical trade-offs
