Pay: $36.14–$50.60/hour (range may vary by location)
Description
Provides nursing care under direct supervision of an RN or physician, in accordance with legal scope of practice and established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to implement the patient’s plan of care timely, while supporting privacy and safety requirements to help deliver optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform age-appropriate patient care activities within the scope of competency as assigned
Assist with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and/or diagnostic exams
Assess and monitor patients; notify the physician/healthcare professional for disposition
Report unusual findings to the physician and/or RN; contribute recommendations to revise the plan of care
Collaborate with physician/RN on individualized plans of care and evaluate outcomes
Prepare for and assist RNs and physicians in procedures and patient examinations
Administer medications as directed by physician orders following established protocols
Educate patients on processes of examinations, tests, and medical procedures in a clear, professional manner
Mentor students and new LVNs to build confidence
Complete clerical tasks (answer phones; update appointments; retrieve/enter/revise EHR records)
Prepare and complete accurate documentation of treatment in required medical and departmental records
Maintain a clean, safe work environment; clean and disinfect equipment after each procedure
Inspect and calibrate equipment; record QC results and report malfunctions
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient protected health information (PHI) and comply with privacy and regulatory standards

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing
LVN license provided prior to start date
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider
Blood draw certificate within 30 days
Valid drivers license (not required for AIM Population Health)
Automobile insurance (not required for AIM Population Health)
