Description

You will coordinate Oracle DBA team work (planning/prioritization, SLA supervision, escalations, status/risk reporting) and act as second-line support by handling database tickets end-to-end with delivery on time and completeness. The role includes Oracle database administration: creating and maintaining production/test environments, configuration, cloning, migrations, performance optimization, backup & recovery oversight with restore tests, and continuous monitoring and capacity planning. You will also manage deployments/DB changes, regular patching/compliance, access security and reviews, and integrate data flows with non-Oracle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate DBA team tasks: planning, prioritization, SLA oversight, escalation handling, status and risk reporting
  • Provide second-line support: receive requests, ensure timely and complete resolution, collaborate with application and project teams
  • Administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c): production/test environment management, configuration, cloning, migrations, performance tuning, incident/problem resolution, log verification
  • Backup & Recovery: supervise backup and recovery strategy and conduct restore tests
  • Monitoring & Capacity: monitor performance/load, tablespace and filesystem utilization, analyze trends, plan capacity
  • Implement DB deployments and changes; propose and improve availability/performance solutions
  • Patch key environments, manage service windows, ensure security policy/audit compliance, verify licensing correctness
  • Security: access control, permission reviews, compliance with audits/security guidelines (including GDPR/RODO and NIS2)
  • Data integrations: manage data flows between Oracle and non-Oracle systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Oracle DBA experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
  • RMAN expertise
  • OEM/Cloud Control knowledge
  • Ability to read AWR reports
  • Backup/Recovery & HA: design and test backup strategies and ensure continuity
  • Solid Linux/Unix knowledge (filesystems, LVM) and basic TCP/IP networking awareness
  • Understanding of storage/I/O dependencies
  • Experience with access control, auditing, and database hardening
  • Scripting/automation with Bash or Python
  • Practical ITIL Incident/Problem/Change Management experience with SLA operations
  • Polish fluency and English at least B2
  • Ability to coordinate/prioritize work under time pressure (P1/P2 incidents)
  • Responsible, quality- and SLA-oriented mindset
  • On-call availability (about 1 week per month)
  • 1–2 years in a coordination/Tech Lead role
