Role: C# Developer working on a production VR multiplayer platform using .NET and Unity with realtime systems.

Description

You’ll develop features across the full stack of the platform—from the Unity client, through realtime communication and backend services, to databases and cloud storage. You will implement multiplayer synchronization and state distribution, build .NET backend APIs, and support async/multithreaded processing while keeping production reliability, low latency, and maintainable code quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop functionality that spans the Unity client, backend, and data layer
  • Work on multiplayer mechanisms, synchronization, and state distribution
  • Build backend services and APIs in .NET
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Implement asynchronous and multithreaded processing
  • Address production operational scenarios (outages, reconnection, inconsistent states)
  • Optimize performance, latency, and resource usage
  • Ensure robust error/edge-case handling, testability, and long-term maintainability
  • Design solutions carefully before implementation and enable safe, backward-compatible deployments

Requirements

  • Very good C# knowledge
  • Solid foundations in the .NET platform
  • Good knowledge of OOP
  • Knowledge of common design principles and patterns
  • At least theoretical understanding of asynchronous and multithreaded programming
  • Understanding of basic client-server communication principles
  • Ability to reason about data flow and lifecycle
  • Ability to assess how a change impacts the entire system
  • Logical and analytical thinking
  • Independence, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Interest in progressively learning Unity, backend, and the platform data layer
