Description

You will develop a new central data system for the Czech electricity market from scratch. Depending on your experience, you can focus on data and computations (time-series measured data, calculation modules, and market interfaces) or on the portal part (registration, contracts, identity verification via BankID, and access permissions). You’ll work mainly with Python, FastAPI, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs, with optional Apache Iceberg and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the central data system

• Implement data/computation modules using time-series and market interfaces

• Develop portal functionality for subject registration, contracts, identity verification, and access rights

• Participate in architectural/technology decisions and help shape the solution

Requirements

• Practical production experience with Python (approx. 3+ years, based on demonstrated skills)

• Database and SQL experience

• Experience with large datasets or time series (preferred)

• Willingness to write tests and work via code review

• Ability to read and write in English for technical documentation

• Pragmatic use of AI tools during development
