Description

You will work across data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and system integrations, transforming business and pricing logic into robust, scalable, and maintainable software.

Your responsibilities

Data pipelines

  • Design, build, and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines orchestrated with Airflow
  • Bring internal vehicle and contract data and external market data into the platform

Data modelling

  • Shape and evolve the canonical data model in the data hub
  • Focus on data quality, consistency, and lineage

Backend & APIs

  • Build and maintain Python services and REST APIs exposing pricing, vehicle, mapping, and recommendation data to internal consumers
  • Include exposure for the Motortrade platform

Integration

  • Implement and maintain integrations with source and downstream systems
  • Manage external API integrations and event-driven data flows

Quality & reliability

  • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
  • Implement monitoring and data-quality checks
  • Support pipelines and services in production

Collaboration

  • Work with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Scrum Masters, and Motortrade developers
  • Translate pricing and business logic into robust and maintainable software

Full-stack contribution (plus)

  • If you have a full-stack profile, contribute to the Angular front end where pricing features are presented to users

Requirements

  • 3–5 years professional experience as a Python Developer, preferably with a data or backend focus
  • Strong Python skills, including pandas and building REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask
  • Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
  • Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines, ideally using Airflow
  • Good knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
  • Good understanding of API design and system integration
  • Ability to work confidently in English within an international team

Nice to have

  • Full-stack experience, particularly Angular (strong advantage)
  • Experience with cloud data infrastructure and containerisation
  • Exposure to event streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Familiarity with data-quality and observability tools
  • Understanding of machine-learning workflows and ability to collaborate with data scientists
  • Experience in automotive, leasing, pricing, or remarketing (advantage, not required)
