Description

You will maintain, develop, and continuously improve quality and food safety management systems. The role includes overseeing system documentation, monitoring process compliance with standards and food law, and actively participating in external and client audits. You will analyze nonconformities, complaints, and laboratory results, manage CAPA actions, support KPI reporting, and qualify foreign suppliers based on food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop, and improve quality and food safety management systems (HACCP, BRCGS, GlobalG.A.P.)
  • Create, update, and supervise system documentation (procedures, instructions, forms)
  • Monitor process compliance with quality system requirements and legal requirements (EU and national food law)
  • Report nonconformities that threaten product quality and safety to your supervisor
  • Prepare the company for external (certification and customer) audits and participate actively in audits
  • Participate in inspections by state institutions (e.g., Sanepid, WIJHARS, PIORIN)
  • Analyze nonconformities, complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Perform laboratory analyses and interpret results for long-term trends; propose technical or process solutions based on findings
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, logistics, and purchasing; organize quality and food safety training
  • Oversee traceability, product labeling, and product documentation
  • Qualify and monitor foreign suppliers of raw materials/packaging according to food safety standards and customer requirements; conduct risk assessments
  • Support introduction of new products and process changes
  • Analyze quality data and report KPI indicators

Requirements

  • University degree in food technology, quality management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position in the food industry (preferred: fruits and vegetables)
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and practical experience with BRCGS/IFS and GlobalG.A.P. standards
  • Knowledge of microbiological and chemical hazards (advantage)
  • Knowledge of EU and national food law regulations
  • Experience with system documentation
  • Analytical thinking and ability to solve problems independently
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Teamwork ability and willingness to share knowledge and information
  • MS Office skills (Excel, Word) for presentations, summaries, and data synthesis
  • English proficiency for communication related to your duties (supplier qualification, audits)
