Description

You will work in an agile, interdisciplinary development team on hardware, embedded software, and application software. You will develop and optimize a web-based modem interface for stability, usability, and performance while also implementing and maintaining new features in an existing network management system. The role includes frontend work with JavaScript/React and backend work with Java SDK in a Cisco NSO environment, plus testing and build-system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize a web-based modem interface (stability, usability, performance)
• Design, implement, and maintain new functions within an existing network management system
• Perform frontend development with JavaScript and React
• Implement backend development using Java SDK in the Cisco NSO environment
• Support build-system adaptation and optimization using Gradle, Jenkins, and Git
• Participate in continuous improvements of development workflows, testing, and quality assurance

Requirements

• Degree in Informatics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of experience in web application development with JavaScript and common web technologies
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented software development with Java and safe use of relevant development tools
• Familiarity with Linux as target platform and professional development environment
• Team-oriented working style with structured, careful work in interdisciplinary projects
• Very good English skills and good German skills for documentation and communication
