Description

You will guide the technical direction of commerce experiences in the Venmo iOS app and collaborate with product design, Android, and backend teams to deliver fast, reliable, and accessible mobile features. You’ll act as a project or system leader, helping set technical tasks and standards for engineering rigor while improving processes and tooling. Your work will influence mobile patterns, quality, and engineering best practices across feature squads.

Responsibilities

• Act as a project/system leader coordinating other engineers
• Define technical tasks for other engineers
• Proactively improve structures and processes
• Reconcile competing priorities (time, quality, complexity risk) to identify optimal solutions
• Notice patterns and condense repetition into generalized solutions
• Collaborate with management to set and improve engineering standards
• Represent PayPal externally through partner/customer/industry interactions

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
