Technical Lead – Power BI (media sector)

Description

For our client in the media sector, we are looking for a Technical Lead – Power BI who will be responsible for developing Business Intelligence solutions and providing technical support to the team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing semantic models, reports, and Power BI solutions
• Building data models in dbt / Snowflake and implementing business logic in the appropriate layer
• Designing end-to-end solutions – from the data layer to the BI product
• Optimizing models, queries, and reports, as well as troubleshooting production issues
• Supporting developers in solving complex technical problems
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring the quality and standards of solutions
• Mentoring team members and sharing knowledge
• Automating development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes
• Using APIs, scripting, CI/CD, and AI tools to improve and streamline development
• Collaborating with central Data / BI teams on the development of shared models, components, and standards

Requirements

• Several years of experience developing production-grade Business Intelligence solutions
• Very good practical knowledge of Power BI, Power BI Service, DAX, and semantic models
• Very good knowledge of SQL and practical experience with dbt
• Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform
• Ability to design end-to-end solutions and make informed decisions about where to implement business logic across dbt / Snowflake and Power BI
• Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, and the development–test–deployment–production lifecycle
• Practical knowledge of APIs and scripting tools, e.g. Python or PowerShell
