Join as a high-impact individual contributor to take full ownership of the operational nervous system powering global production reliability, inventory traceability, and field deployment. Lead technical designs with hardware and operations partners and deploy high-availability services where correctness is vital.

Responsibilities

• Drive core product domains as the primary architect and owner for Manufacturing Execution, Supply Chain, Finance, Parts Traceability, and Inventory.
• Within the first year: stabilize essential services to 99.9% uptime, reduce manual planning/production interventions by 50%+, and deploy a traceability pipeline tracking the vast majority of manufactured assets.
• Lead technical design by defining APIs, data models, and service boundaries; prioritize observability via metrics, SLAs, and robust runbooks.
• Bridge hardware and software by building resilient integrations with physical hardware tooling and keeping systems deterministic during intermittent connectivity.
• Own production excellence through on-call rotation, incident response, and continuous improvement via deep-dive postmortems.
• Embedded discovery by working on the shop floor with manufacturing, supply chain, and flight ops teams to prototype workflows and drive adoption.
• Elevate the team by mentoring peers and refining CI/CD and automated testing practices for safe, repeatable deployments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing and maintaining full-stack production systems at scale (or equivalent technical mastery).
• Product-minded engineering: identify root causes, understand user needs, and design pragmatic solutions balancing business value and technical simplicity.
• Systems perspective: break down ambiguous operational problems, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver software that improves real-world processes.
• Strong technical fundamentals: design maintainable systems, thoughtfully model data, make sound tradeoffs, and use AI effectively while maintaining quality.
• Operational excellence: define service health metrics and reliability goals, create runbooks, participate in on-call rotations, and improve via incident reviews.
• Quantifiable results: shipped high-impact features reducing manual intervention and boosting throughput, backed by concrete metrics.
• Collaboration and discovery with regular on-site presence; when local, expect 5 days/week in-office on the manufacturing floor or at a test/commercial operations site.
• Travel readiness: open to traveling up to 15% annually.
• Owner’s mindset for safety-critical, hardware-integrated environments where correctness is paramount.
• Work authorization sponsorship available; U.S. citizenship not required.
