Description

Zipline is scaling its Platform 2 (P2) business and seeks a Business Data Analyst to turn data into actionable insights that drive growth. You will translate business questions into analyses, dashboards, and recommendations, helping teams make better decisions by identifying opportunities and accelerating growth. This role is for someone who enjoys combining technical analytics expertise with business curiosity, comfortable working with large datasets and communicating complex findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own analyses of customer behavior, commercial performance, market dynamics, and Platform 2 growth opportunities

• Define KPI frameworks and metric definitions for Marketing, Commercial, and Growth teams

• Build and maintain business-facing dashboards and self-service reporting

• Translate analysis into recommendations for campaign investment, commercial prioritization, growth initiatives, and strategic tradeoffs

• Monitor performance to identify material trends, risks, and opportunities requiring decisions or changes in approach

• Partner with Data Science, Product, and business teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and analytical processes

• Use AI-enabled workflows to automate recurring reporting and analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering analytics or business intelligence work in analytics, operations, technology, logistics, eCommerce, or a related environment

• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience querying complex relational datasets

• Experience building business-facing dashboards in Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or a similar platform

• Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift and a scripting language such as Python

• Ability to turn ambiguous commercial or growth questions into rigorous analyses, clear measurement approaches, and actionable recommendations

• Strong communication and business judgment, with evidence of helping technical and non-technical stakeholders act on data

• Experience using AI tools to automate analytical workflows or recurring reporting, plus a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field

Benefits

• Starting cash range: $140,000 - $180,000 (target; final depends on experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact)
