Quick Facts

• Role Purpose: Handle escalated alerts, investigate incidents, and perform vulnerability scans to ensure compliance and reduce security risks; also provide daily administration and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.
• Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite at client location in Tulsa, and 1 day remote per week.

Description

• Monitoring and Incident Detection: Handle escalated alerts, prevent potential intrusions from third party agents, and analyze log correlation to ensure alignment with security standards.
• Incident Handling and Analysis: Triage security incidents, handle escalated incidents, assist with root cause analysis, and prepare compliance-aligned reports.
• Threat Assessment and Analytics: Perform vulnerability scans, identify threat intelligence feeds, and recommend preventive measures to reduce exposure.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Audit Assistance: Coordinate with internal teams on security issues, maintain risk registers, and assist during compliance audits.

Role responsibilities (F5 Load Balancer Engineering)

• Manage F5 LTM, GTM/DNS, and SSL certificate lifecycle.
• Configure and maintain VIPs, Pools, Nodes, Profiles, and Persistence settings.
• Monitor device health, synchronization, CPU, memory, and traffic utilization.
• Support application onboarding and load balancing requirements.
• Troubleshoot application accessibility and performance issues.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, backups, upgrades, and health checks.
• Collaborate with application, server, and network teams.
• Support incident, request, and change management activities.

Requirements

• Required Skills: Experience in F5 administration.
• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM.
• Good understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL.
• Experience handling production incidents and changes.
• Preferred: Knowledge of GTM, ASM/WAF, and iRules.
• Preferred: F5-CA/F5-CTS certification.
• Experience Level: 3-5 Years.

Qualifications & Notes

• Compensation range: $45,000 to $110,000; final compensation depends on location and experience.
• Post-offer drug screening may be required in some roles, subject to applicable state law.
