Description

The Principal Engineer - FDE works with business and technology stakeholders to develop and deliver end-to-end application technology products and services for enterprise-wide application platforms aligned to strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish the overall application architecture vision and ensure components are appropriately designed and leveraged in a multi-product environment
• Recommend new technology solutions and products delivered to stakeholders and aligned with enterprise strategic objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technology to define business requirements
• Oversee the development and delivery of technical and/or functional specifications
• Oversee technical design reviews and testing to architectural technologies to ensure application solutions and products meet business requirements
• Lead and define overall application system technology and architecture, development
• Assess compatibility and integration of solutions and products
• Work with IT to lead IT Business Transformation application architecture strategy and vision
• Provide continuous consulting services and direction on projects
• Champion and be responsible for architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to define architectures for new strategic initiatives

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study
• Minimum 11 years of experience
• Experience with multi-dimensional platforms
• Experience with business and technical applications
• Any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background

• Mentoring experience; ability to drive teams to achieve results
• Experience leading multiple and/or large complex technical projects
• Troubleshooting support experience
• Multi database and/or multi language experience
• Experience owning end-to-end delivery from ambiguous business problem to working production solution (architecture, rapid prototyping, integration, testing, deployment, stabilization)
• Hands-on technical leader designing and building across AI, applications, APIs, data, cloud, and legacy platforms
• Experience engineering trust and production readiness from day one (security, privacy, compliance, evaluations, observability, human oversight, reliability)
• Experience turning field delivery into reusable enterprise capability (reusable components, integration patterns, evaluation packs, development standards, platform backlog enhancements)
