Description

Provide exceptional, patient-focused vision care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations, prescribe eyewear and contacts, diagnose and treat vision and ocular health conditions, and use modern digital exam lanes and EMR tools to streamline care. Partner with the store team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations per established clinical protocols and standards of care
  • Partner with the store team to create an exceptional patient experience and grow the eye exam business
  • Prescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions tailored to patients; educate patients on options
  • Diagnose and treat vision conditions, including refractive error and ocular health assessments; ensure accuracy for patient outcomes
  • Share eye care knowledge with the team to support patients throughout their journey
  • Maintain an engaged clinical presence to reinforce commitment to eye care and strengthen exam brand awareness
  • Use modern digital exam lanes and EMR tools for precision and streamlined care
  • Support key performance goals through excellent clinical care
  • Collaborate with the Store Leader to align on goals and strategies for an OD + store team partnership
  • Maintain accurate, detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols
  • Maintain state licensure in good standing and meet all Continuing Education/state requirements
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by educating and inspiring patients and team members
  • Perform other tasks as needed to provide an exceptional patient experience

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry licensed in the state where you practice, in good standing
  • Dedicated to leading by example and inspiring the team through exceptional patient care and collaboration
  • Business-minded and driven to deliver results
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and able to drive innovation/problem-solving
  • Knowledgeable about and eager to incorporate new technology
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest clinical practices
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE); otherwise not excluded, debarred, precluded, or sanctioned for participation in government health care programs or commercial insurance plans
