Description

Design real, shipped iOS applications for B2C users and own the design process end-to-end—from identifying the ICP and problem, through research, user testing and prototyping, to implementation and launch. Work with Product & Engineering, actively contribute to product decisions, and challenge and defend design decisions within a highly experienced startup team. Turn user feedback and research into clear product and design decisions to create intuitive, engaging and delightful user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship B2C iOS applications
• Own the end-to-end design process (ICP/problem → research → user testing → prototyping → UX/UI → implementation → launch)
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence product decisions
• Challenge and defend design decisions
• Convert user feedback and research into product and design decisions

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Design experience
• Strong experience designing consumer / B2C products
• Proven experience designing real, shipped iOS applications
• Portfolio demonstrating built and launched iOS products (not just concepts)
• Hands-on experience with user research and user testing
• Ability to independently own the process from problem → ICP → research → UX/UI → implementation → launch
• Experience working in a startup environment; comfortable operating with ambiguity and making decisions independently
• Ability to challenge and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Founders
• Strong skills in UX, UI, interaction design and mobile product design
• Excellent product thinking and strong eye for visual craftsmanship
• Portfolio should show only real iOS applications actually built and launched
• Do not include: concept designs, hackathon projects, dashboards, web applications, mobile-first websites, branding projects, marketing websites
