Description

Sought is an experienced, outcome-oriented SLAM Engineer to design, implement, and improve SLAM algorithms and related localization and mapping components. The work involves evaluating modern SLAM approaches, improving robustness/accuracy/performance, analyzing algorithm performance, and collaborating with engineering and research teams to integrate, test, and optimize solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve SLAM algorithms and related localization and mapping components
• Evaluate and apply modern SLAM approaches based on product and project requirements
• Improve the robustness, accuracy, and performance of localization and mapping solutions
• Analyze algorithm performance, identify limitations, and troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams on integration, testing, and optimization
• Stay current with recent research, frameworks, and best practices in SLAM and robotic perception

Requirements

• Strong practical experience with SLAM
• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python
• Good knowledge of recent SLAM approaches and developments in the field
• Understanding of optimization techniques commonly used in SLAM
• Experience working with real-world sensor data and debugging complex perception systems
• Ability to independently investigate technical problems and deliver effective, outcome-focused solutions
