Description

The Remote CCTV Virtual Guard (VG) is responsible for monitoring surveillance cameras for illegal and unusual activities in the NY metro and Boston area and corresponding with on-site security staff to inform them of suspicious activities.

Responsibilities

• Basic computer network knowledge with regards to IPs and subnets

• Configure and administer user privileges for CCTV accounts

• Use TeamViewer functions and remote access

• Constant monitoring of all surveillance cameras during assigned hours

• Direct contact with site security, company security, and NYPD to report findings

• Understand and apply company policies to determine when a tenant is breaking them

• Maintain a good working relationship with site security staff and company security; remain professional with police personnel

• Act as the “eyes” for the security department to keep tenants safe

• Maintain company property and supplies (including tools)

Requirements

• Must be able to work under minimum supervision

• Must be a resident of Poland

• Knowledge of the above computer skills or equivalent education

• Previous experience with on-site security and writing reports

• Diligent, alert, and attentive to details

• Good communication skills; patience when communicating with different audiences

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience navigating the OS

• Basic computer software skills, including ability to burn information to DVDs as needed

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with constant change

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to quickly learn new software tools, especially Network Video Management Systems (NVMS)

• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, constantly changing environment

• Effective verbal and written communication (English)

• Team player
